    In 1988, Robert formed the public CPA practice, Robert Vance & Associates CPAs & Consultants. The firm grew rapidly providing high quality accounting and tax services to businesses and individuals in Memphis and the Mid-South. In 1995, Robert began to specialize in business valuation, litigation support and expert witness services and formed Valuation / Litigation Consultants, PLC in 2003 after selling the CPA practice. He was a partner in the Knoxville office of a large CPA firm from 2007-2010 and is now back in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee and practices as the principal of Forensic & Valuation Services, PLC.

    Currently, Robert serves on the Business Valuation, Forensic Investigation & Litigation Services Committee of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, The National Association of Forensic Economics and is an active associate member of the Family Law Section of the Memphis Bar Association.

    Robert is proud to be an Eagle Scout (1977) of the Boy Scouts of America.

    Robert has published many articles on valuation and litigation-related subjects in a variety of professional journals including: Tennessee Bar Journal, Memphis Business Journal, American Journal of Family Law, Tennessee CPA Journal, Memphis Lawyer, Family Practice and The Young Lawyers' Appeal. He has conducted continuing education seminars for the American Institute of CPAs, The Tennessee Society of CPAs, the National Association of CVAs, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Memphis and Knoxville Bar Associations, Tennessee Attorney's Memo, and NBI. Robert has been admitted as a court-qualified expert in Federal Court and Circuit and Chancery Courts in Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida, and has testified over 100 times at depositions, bench trials and jury trials.
