2017 TSCPA Southeastern Forensic & Valuation Services Conference

July 13th, 2017

The 2017 Tennessee Society of CPAs Southeastern Forensic & Valuation Services Conference was held in Brentwood, TN October 23-25, 2017 and featured 20 hours of CPE for CPAs and 16.67 of CLE for attorneys. Robert Vance is the Task Force Chairman in charge of planning and executing the conference. We enjoyed one of the most dynamic presentations ever that rivaled any national-level conference. Jim Hitchner, Kevin Yeanoplos and Harold Martin  presented a 9 hour session covering a complete detailed valuation including an AICPA SSVS compliant report with all the exhibits and schedules. The attendees saw a hands-on, interactive presentation wherein the presenters discussed the choices a valuation analysts must make and how to support those choices. The presentation was based on the same type of start-to-finish report in the 4th Edition of Jim's book, Financial Valuation Applications and Models that was published in 2017. Kevin and Harold are also authors/contributors to the book. The TSCPA FVS conference the first to see this entire presentation.

Robert Vance presented a 1 hour session on Tennessee Cases You Need to Know in Divorce Business Valuation and a 1 hour session on The Divorce Case That Had Everything.
