Michael J. Pascal, JD. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting in 1980 and the JD, Juris Doctorate in 1982 from the University of Memphis. Before joining FVS, Mike worked his entire 30+ year career as an In-House Counsel and Chief Financial Officer in many top real estate, hotel and construction companies in the mid-south including the public company, RFS Hotel Investors, Inc. As CFO, he has led the accounting, finance, banking, risk management, human resource and legal functions for a number of companies in which he was employed. In 1993 he was an integral part of establishing the first hotel Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) since the 1960's. Mike participated in the REIT IPO and additional follow on offerings totaling over $350,000,000. As CFO, he took the lead on several bond issues totaling over $300,000,000 and successfully restructured loan agreements with a variety of lenders. He has been involved in the acquisition of over 100 commercial properties including hotels, office buildings and shopping centers throughout the United States and participated throughout the process from due diligence, contracting, purchase and closing. Mike has managed the finances and vendor contracts for several shopping centers in Northern Mississippi including lease representation.
Mike has also been qualified multiple times as a financial expert witness in Shelby County, TN. His specialties at FVS include business valuation, financial forensic analytics in economic damage and lost profits claims of businesses due to breach of contract and torts including intellectual property and trade secret infringement and misappropriation.
